Overview

During their time in the military, service members must maintain a peak level of performance to withstand the many challenges of war and combat that they may face. Additionally, service members are often subjected to a high level of trauma through the immense acts of violence and death that they witness. Through the combination of these challenges during their time in the military, service members must receive the mental and physical support that they need to continue to serve their country. Therefore, by implementing a mindfulness-based preventative measure with the YOG Foundation, military service members can improve their performance on the job and reduce the mental impacts of the difficulties that they may face as well.

A Vision for a More Mindful Future

In the United States, there are currently over 1.3 million service members active. During their time in the military, they are exposed to a wide range of incidents, including gunfire, bombs, and death. With a constant threat to their safety, this puts military service members under extreme stress, which can result in a wide range of mental health issues down the line, particularly posttraumatic stress disorder. Given the numerous threats that military service members face in the line of duty, by implementing a mindfulness program with the YOG Foundation, service members can gain a multitude of benefits both physically and mentally.

The YOG Foundation Implements Mindful Yoga & Mindful Meditation Sessions Across Various Military Branches

As military service members face dangerous and deadly situations on a daily basis, the rate of mental health and physical health issues is a frequent and ever-present risk. By implementing a mindfulness program with the YOG Foundation, it can both improve the lives of the military service members and increase their performance so that they can continue to protect and serve their country.
